From the Kashruth Council of Canada (COR)



Presidents Choice Organics Bean Medley Canned 540 ml beans bears an unauthorized COR 386. Any Bean Product bearing the COR 386 is unauthorized.

The following 2 establishments have closed and are, therefore, no longer under COR supervision: Gladstone's Bar & Grill and Yossi's Fine Foods/Classic.

Spudniks potato chips are no longer under COR certification. This product should not be used even when bearing the COR symbol.

Paradise Banquet Hall, 7601 Jane Street, is no longer under COR certification.

Cara Airline Solutions, a provider of kosher airline meals, is no longer under COR supervision.

Signature Aluminum Foilware imported from China by Encore Sales was labeled with an unauthorized COR 63. This product is not kosher certified by COR.

Omstead Petite Whole Carrots bear an unauthorized COR.

Mini Yoshon Update - October 2, 2009
Flour - Robin Hood, Five Roses and Duncan Hines are still yoshon. Some mills will start changing shortly after Yom Tov.

Flour with a COR 142 – code of 9265 or lower.

Flour with a COR 285 - code of 263 K (2010 SE 20) or lower.

Quaker Oats any items containing oats – code of 0911P9 or lower. Costco pack – last digits of code should be 11 I or lower.

Old Mill Oats are still yoshon. Mill will change after Yom Tov.

Compliments and Masterchoice/Metro Instant Oats – These products are still yoshon. Manufactures may start with chodosh oats in the next two weeks.

General Mills – All Cheerios are still yoshon (excluding MultiGrain for which ‘G’ or lower is definitely yoshon).

Nature Valley Granola Bars were scheduled to change the week of Sept 28/09. Product currently in stores is yoshon.

Post (COR114) – These products are still yoshon.

Weetabix - These products are still yoshon.

Presidents Choice (COR 123) These products are still yoshon. Will start changing after Yom Tov

Compliments (COR 313) - These products are still yoshon. Will start changing after Yom Tov

Kellogg Canada (COR 246) - These products are still yoshon.

Barley – The mills have started pearling new crop barley. NuPak Barley will remain yoshon until after Yom Tov. Kolbo, Kosher City Plus and Kosher Grocer have yoshon barley.

Pasta – All Canadian pasta is still yoshon.

Cut off dates will be issued as products change. Please note: The above information applies to products manufactured in Canada only.
